Liquid propulsion program

Akronauts’ Liquid Propulsion Program dates back to 2020 when it started as part of the senior design project of graduating members. In 2021, the team began working on the VENM 4 engine, which led to the first successfully hot fire performed in Ohio by collegiate teams on September 10th, 2022.

Now, the team is focused on developing a flight vehicle to launch with an iteration of the VENM engine, called VENM Launch Vehicle (VLV), and testing HORNET, a 3D-Printed in GRCop-42 Regeneratively Cooled engine.
